You may have noticed an increase in the last year or so of premium-brand online retailers, selling stuff at significant discount, often for a very limited time only. I’ve written before about the largely fashion-based retailers such as Brandalley, The Outnet and Cocosa but its only in recent months i’ve tried out those focusing on homewares.
I tried out Achica before Christmas, on the recommendation of a colleague and their stuff ranges from being upper-end high street prices to thousands for some stunning works or art and furniture. I’d bought a couple of gifts for Christmas and their customer service was faultless (reimbursing the cost of a metal sign because it was a bit bent and letting me keep it too) – a nice surprise following total frustration at the likes of Brandalley. If you sign up (for free), you get access to some gorgeous sales and admittedly i try not to go on too often, for the sake of my bank balance, but they also do a great lifestyle blog and glossy mag. Well worth visiting. Currently toying with some classic Alice in Wonderland prints for the young lady’s bedroom.
Last week i made my first purchase from Made.com which has some really stunning modern furniture and accessories (i’ve mentally furnished my next house from it…) at whacking great discounts and allows its mambers to vote on what items they would like to see for sale next. I got this fantastic magazine rack for £39 rather than the £200+ RRP. Excellent service and no hassle to rearrange delivery.
Have just signed up to Dalani which currently has some gorgeous Bombay Duck stuff. Its like having stuff from Elle Deco, Living Etc and Ideal Home magazines that you might actually be able to afford.
