So, our German Shepherd dog Athena died just over a year ago (July 5 2011) but our daughter has been talking a lot about her recently and i think we’re finally coming around to the idea of getting another one. I came across some pictures on my laptop and thought it’d be quite nice to share some of them here.

But beginning to reach a stage whereby you can entertain the idea of a new dog is a great place to have reached.

Thanks Resa:-) we’ve already been looking at rescue dogs online so when back from holiday in a couple of weeks i think we’ll be looking a bit more seriously.
I think it’s a tribute to her that you are want to welcome another rescue dog into your family
Thank you! I grew up with one rescue dog after another so getting a puppy doesn’t really occur to me:-) Athena had a fairly miserable 18 months before we got her and then a happy ten years with us so would like to give another rescue a good home too.
